Volk The Volk’s Electric Railway Association - or VERA as it has become known - was launched upon an unsuspecting public on September 16th 1995. Since then it has become an active participant in the restoration, promotion and operation of the line. |

of the Association were then allowed to travel up and down the line during the
remainder of the day. |

VERA members are
happy to get involved in all types of work including car and track maintenance.
Some have even gone on to become qualified drivers or booking clerks. Membership benefits include 4 magazines a year, reduced rate travel on the railway, and the chance to work as a volunteer. The Association also operates a large model of the railway and a sales stand which it takes to exhibitions throughout the south promoting Volk’s Railway to a wide audience. |
